➢ Philippine Adobo is an indigent Filipino cuisine. Contrary to claims that Adobo came from the Spanish cuisine Adobar, this unnamed marinade delicacy existed long before the colonization. The Spanish sought to name it Adobar due to the similarities in the marinating process. In addition, Adobo (Pork or Chicken) initially only had Vinegar and Salt until the Chinese introduced Soy Sauce later in history.
